Power Loss in Write Cached Enabled System May Cause File System Corruption

With no write-caching enabled, every write to hard drive includes a performance hit while system waits for hard drive to access correct location on hard drive and write data to it. Disk write caching writes data on the drive more efficiently. But in some situations, it might interfere with certain application and even the file system. It could damage the file system and render all of the Windows partitions inaccessible. Some third-party applications on your Windows computer need disk write caching option to be disabled or enabled.
