CompTIA's Server+ certification exam certifies the knowledge and competency of network administrator in the IT industry. In today's time it's not enough to know an operating system as a system administrator. The CompTIA SK0-001 is one of the most widely acceptable computing qualifications which are acknowledged by both public and private sectors. It is designed for those professionals who have 18-24 months of experience in networking field and wants to further extend their area of expertise in networking field. Server+ is an international certification that mainly focuses on server specific hardware and operating systems.
This certification deals in areas such as Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID), Small Computer System Interface (SCSI), multiple CPU's, server issues and disaster recovery.
The Server+ exam is published in a format for the computer desktop environment and is available at authorized CompTIA testing centers. Candidate should register for Server+ certification on CompTIA's website. Before giving Server+ certification exam candidate must pass one exam SK0-002. This exam deals with general server hardware, installation, disaster recovery configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance. Exam will consist of 80 multiple choice questions which should be completed in 90 minutes time frame. Candidate should get minimum 615 marks on the scale of 100-900. It is recommended that candidate have A+ certification which provides a strong base for Server+ certification.
