There are six levels to raid and RAID 5 Data Recovery is the best.
- by Alberto Rodriguez
Data recovery companies focus on quickly and accurately recovering damaged data from hard drives. When you have your server configured to run in a raid configuration you are using a minimum of three discs. This is the best possible configuration that you can use for your server.
The data recovery from an intact array is easily recoverable from the raid configuration. The damage to the logical cylinders structure can be very easily access through the controller. This can be treated as a logical damage on a single hard drive. The simplest undelete software can recover all of the deleted or corrupted files from your hard drive. Most software vendors advertise they can recover from a raid five configuration without much difficulty.
Here is a list of raid levels that are part of your server.
RAID 0 is a Striped SetRAID 0 can be set up for easily optimizing your disk drives space. It will have no data redundancy capability. You will be able to get the full disc space and will make it faster for reads and writes.
RAID 1 is mirrored setThe RAID 1 is very popular with the average end-user. It will allow for total data redundancy with minimum performance degradation. If one hard drive fails the other hard driver will pick up the slack.
RAID 2 and RAID 4 has a minimum of three disc that are striped and set with a dedicated parity for improved performance with faults tolerance.
RAID 5 has a minimum of three disc that are set with dedicated and distributed parity which creates an array with fault tolerance against a single drive failure.
RAID 6 has a minimum of four discs that are striped with double distributed parity for fault tolerance. Generally, only powerful servers have this type of configuration.
You should always remember to back up your server on a daily basis in case you have a bad hard drive.
